Policies
My policies and in honor of those who inspire me.
1. Reducing Violence.
2. Housing for all.
3. Support for low in come families.
4. Strengthen the economy.

I firmly believe that if we are to get to the root causes of these issues then we are able to build a stronger, more united Peoria. People fail to realize that these issues are deeply interconnected, and when we provided stability, safety, and opportunities for our community , we're then able to allow individuals in out community thrive. In, turn, it creates a ripple effect, strengthen our economy but not only that, it also ensures long term growth and success for everyone! If we are to invest in our people and by talking these challenges head on then we can truly build a brighter future for all of us.

1. Reducing Violence and Crime:
Growing up, I inform lost a classmate, Tommie Forest III, to violence when I was just 14 years old. I was then able to witness the impact it had and it showed me the devastating effects violence can have on families and communities. I want you to know that crime often stems from systemic issues like poverty and lack of resources, and by addressing these root causes, we can create a safer environment where our children can thrive.

2. Housing for All:
You’ll hear me talk about this quite a bit but it’s reason for why I care so much but I know what it’s like to live on the brink of homelessness. My family faced times when we struggled to keep a roof over our heads, and I saw firsthand how hard my parents worked to make sure we had a place to call home. Everyone deserves access to safe and affordable housing it’s a basic human right and the foundation for building a better future. This also ties into reducing the amount of unhoused people, again some people just need a little extra help, not to be shamed.

3. Supporting Low-Income Families:
I’ve experienced the challenges low-income families face. Some days growing up my parents could barely be able to afford a $5 pizza for dinner or at times I wondered if we’d have a home because of how much we were struggling. When we help families with resources and opportunities, we empower them to succeed and reduce the cycle of poverty.

4. Strengthening the Economy:
To be able to have a thriving economy it begins with thriving people. By addressing the issues of housing, violence, and support for families, we are then able to create the conditions for people to work, innovate, and contribute to their community. To me building up the economy isn’t just about businesses, of course not, but it’s about creating opportunities for everyone, and especially to those who have been overlooked for far too long.
